This afternoon the Northfield Youth Forum will entertain specially invited guest as they launch a new website and team up with a local cinema to show videos about the neighbourhood.
www.involvenorthfield.com brings together the wide range of work and creativity that has emerged from the group.
The event is being held in conjunction with the Empire Cinema in Parkway, Rubery and you can watch some of the videos being shown on this part of the Involve Northfield website.
Involve Northfield grew from a fledgling young people’s forum established in 2005. As a group they also assess and approve small grants for young people in the Northfield constituency. The group describes it role this way:
We hope we provide a voice for young people in Northfield Constituency which includes Northfield, Weoley, Longbridge and Kings Norton wards. Facilitate the development of youth involvement activities. Assess and approve applications from youth / community groups for funding.
