Erdington Library is offering a unique chance to explore the area’s local history with a brand new exhibition which will open during Local Democracy Week. Open to library users and members of the public, it is being organised in association with the Rookery House Trust.

Suffragettes in Erdington Town Centre

Information event with performing arts. No Such Thing Theatre Company with the ‘Successful Suffragetes’ who through the medium of street theatre We will encourage children to take a turn on the soap box to share their thoughts through the megaphone.  There will also be a portable ballot box asking people what makes them proud of Erdington. Balloons and a face painter to entertain the younger children, and senior managers on hand to answer any questions. Erdington Town Centre Partnership will also have a stand to discuss the Town Centre and hand-out the Pride in Erdington magazine. The Arts on the Move exhibition vehicle will be offering the public the chance to have a go in art activities.
